Anne Chloe, a bright young girl, resides in a remote area on La Gonave. In May 2023, she traveled with other FYH orthopedic patients to Adventist Hospital for her first-ever consultation with an orthopedic surgeon. After undergoing X-rays and scans, Anne Chloe was diagnosed with Brachial Plexus Palsy. Dr. Scott Nelson took the time to explain the diagnosis to her father, although he had to convey the unfortunate news that surgery was not an option for his daughter.
Anne Chloe’s father deeply appreciated FYH’s efforts to assist his beloved daughter. Leaving Adventist Hospital, they were aware that she had consulted with the best orthopedic surgeon and had received valuable exercises to strengthen her arm and shoulder. We are closely monitoring Anne’s progress each month, and I am delighted to have her as part of our medical program!
