Support for Haiti’s most
Vulnerable Community
Medical Care, and Education
for the people of La Gonâve, Haiti
A boat ride away,
and a world apart
This is reality for 100,000 people living on the remote island of La Gonâve, Haiti.
Because of the separation from mainland Haiti, access to healthcare, both routine and specialty, can be extremely limited. Although For You Haiti works collaboratively with the talented and devoted doctors and healthcare professionals on La Gonâve, the medical needs are overwhelming and the island’s resources are scarce. Food and water supplies can be unreliable and most residents lack access to basic healthcare and education. Half of children under the age of five are at risk for malnutrition, and many have never been seen by a doctor.
We believe that no child should suffer from treatable medical conditions or malnutrition.
Here’s how YOU can help
1. Medical Care
2. Education
3. Nutrition
A child can’t thrive when they’re hungry. For You Haiti partners with The World Food Program and Meds & Food For Kids to address the nutritional needs of the children on the island.
