This is reality for 100,000 people living on the remote island of La Gonâve, Haiti.
Many in this community go their whole life without seeing a doctor and 1 out of 5 children die before their 6th birthday. Because of their separation from mainland Haiti, they face extreme poverty. Food and water supply are unreliable and most residents lack access to basic healthcare and education.
We believe that no child should die from treatable medical conditions or malnutrition.
Here’s how YOU can help
1. Medical Care
First, we take care of the children’s medical needs. Whether it is basic, complex or ongoing - we focus on getting the children of La Gonâve healthy.
2. Education
Once the children are healthy, they are ready and able to go to school. We provide education sponsorships to ensure that these children can attend school.
3. Nutrition
A child can’t thrive when they’re hungry. Through sponsorships and our Hungry Tummies program, we provide meals to the children of La Gonâve.
4. Entrepreneurship
The parents of our sponsored children are eligible to participate in the business development program so they can create a sustainable future for their families.
