Abandoned by her husband with 5 kids and no job, Jayden’s mom was simply hopeless when she came to our office. Recovering from his first surgery for Hirschsprung disease, she came to the office seeking help for her 8-month little boy, Jayden Meus.
She explained to me that she has no money left as the first surgery took everything from me and she asked “Could you please help me Doctor?”, she asked me during first medical appointment.
Her son was in need of 2 major surgeries. I had no idea of where we would do it and who could possibly perform those surgeries in the country, but I said, “Of course For You Haiti will help!”
We went ahead and organized both surgeries to be done at Saint Damian’s Hospital in Port au Prince!
And I am so pleased to tell you that Jayden made a FULL recovery!
