Mrs. Foufoune Timo: A Devoted Teacher Making a Difference

Mrs. Foufoune Timo is an inspiring and dedicated teacher in our special needs class. For her, teaching young children is the most rewarding job on earth, and we are truly fortunate to have her as part of our team.

Born and raised in Fond Poussière, a village about three miles from Anse-à-Galets, Mrs. Foufoune is the proud mother of three children—two sons and a daughter. Her educational journey began at École Baptiste de Dorval, where she completed her primary education. At 16, she moved to the city to continue her studies at Lycée Nationale de L’Anse-à-Galets.

In 2019, Mrs. Foufoune began her teaching career at our local school. Just two years later, her outstanding work earned her a position with For You Haiti, where she became a key teacher in our special needs class.

Mrs. Foufoune shares her passion for her role:
“I love teaching children, but working with those with special needs gives me the best feeling ever. In the past, they didn’t have a school to go to, but now, seeing the joy on their faces in class fills me with happiness. Thank you, For You Haiti, for making this project a reality.”

Her dedication to her students and the profound impact she has in the classroom is truly remarkable. We are so grateful to have such a passionate and caring teacher shaping the lives of these children!
