Cathy has spent the last 3 months in Adventist Hospital in Port au Prince after having major spinal surgery. Without this life changing surgery Cath would have eventually been unable to walk. Cathy’s Mom was with her everyday, and our FYH Medical team has just welcomed Cathy and her Mom home to La Gonave. She will return to Port au Prince once more to have her HALO Track removed. We would like to thank Childspring International, her phenomenal surgeon, and the team at Adventist Hospital for their dedication to Cathy. This would not have been possible without you!

Dalenson was born with severe cataracts in both eyes, meaning he was blind from birth.

Dalenson’s life sadly consisted of sitting in the dirt and eating it. He was not walking or talking and was suffering from severe malnutrition.

For You Haiti was contacted by doctors on La Gonave who had seen him and asked for help for him. We arranged an initial consult with an Ophthalmologist in Port Au Prince who confirmed the diagnosis and arranged his surgery.
Surgery was successful however Dalenson had to learn to use his newly acquired sight, like a newborn.

With much support and encouragement through weekly visi...

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Hungry Tummies is a simple program that aims to put food in the bellies of hungry children as they arrive at school. Not only does this program encourage children to attend school, but for some, this meal might be the only food they receive that day.
